Claims case files, 1935- .

The claim case files pertain to law suits filed by state employees and private citizens against the State of Alabama, due to injuries or property damages that accrued during circumstances on state property or during state employment. These cases are brought before the State Board of Adjustment according to the Board's jurisdiction to hear and consider certain claims. The Secretary of State also serves as the Secretary of the Board of Adjustment, therefore this officer's signature can be found on the claims.
